Endless Obsessions Constitution

Article 1 - Club Identification
1) The name of the club shall be Endless Obsessions, it shall be a non profit organization.
2) Club logo- Will be the Endless Obsessions name with flame design, as designed by Graphic Disorder.
3) Colors- The words will be in silver metallic, and the flame design will be in the color of members choice. The stickers will be offered in many sizes.
4) The primary purpose of the club will be to promote the love for vehicles and share our common obsession with modifying them.

Article 2 - Club Treasury
1) Club money shall only be used when its use is voted on by majority vote of current members.
2) Club treasurer will collect member's dues at the beginning of the 1st meet of the month.
3) All transactions will be recorded, and be made available for any current member to view at each meet.
4) If Endless Obsessions cease to exist the money in the club account will be donated to a charity of the current member's choice.
5) Members who owe 2 months dues will be placed on a probation status, 4 or more months overdue and that member is dropped back to prospect status.


Article 3 - Club Officers
1) The Officers of Endless Obsessions are as follows: Founding Fathers, President, Vice President, Treasurer and Sergeant of Arms.
2) These positions are subject to change by majority vote of members.
3) In the event of an open Officer position any current member may request to fill the position and be voted in by majority of the other Officers.

Article 4 - Vehicle Requirements
1) Vehicles must Modified suspension, anything from performance parts to suspension drops and lifts, Must be an alteration that is not stock for the vehicle in question.
2) All vehicles will be taken on a case by case basis.
3) Must show intention of continually modifying vehicle.
4) There is a three Modification limit, One of these mods being Suspension the other two can fall into performance, exterior and interior Modifications. Examples include: Audio upgrades, Custom Paint work, Custom body panels/custom body work, exhaust and intake.
5) When attending shows and meets all vehicles must be clean and presentable.
6) Support vehicles: Must follow all by-laws, vehicle must meet the clubs criteria, Vehicle will display a Small Endless Obsessions sticker.
7) Club vehicle must have a current insurance policy.


Article 5 - Voting
1) All motions will be passed by 2/3 vote of current club members only.
2) If at anytime the founding fathers unanimously agree for or against a proposal to alter the club from its current status they are able to overrule the proposed change.
3) Voting of prospects will take place on the online forum after the meet.
4) Voting will either be verbal or ballot, the vote for a new member will always be done by ballot.
5) By-laws can only be added or modified with a unanimous member vote.

Article 6 - Membership
1) Prospects are required to attend 6 meets and/or shows before they are voted on by the current club members. At least 2 current members must attend a show for it to count towards the prospects requirement. Prospects must also show continuous progression on his/her vehicle while petitioning for membership.
2) Prospects shall abide by the EO constitution while petitioning for membership.
3) Prospects will be allowed to display the Web address sticker after attending 3 meets.
4) Members can be voted out of the club for: Bad attitude, not abiding by the EO constitution, majority vote, conflict or confrontation with another member, and representing Endless Obsessions in any way other then positive.
5) If contact is lost with a member for more than 90 days and he/she misses all club functions during this time, the individual will be assumed to quit.
6) If a current member leaves Endless Obsessions in good standing, he/she will be allowed to re-join by majority vote of current members.
7) Membership dues will consist of $2.00 a month. These dues help pay for the club website, club functions and member of the quarter awards.
8) The club Endless Obsessions of southeast Virginia 2006, assumes no liability for members actions at anytime.
9) Probation status means that a member looses his/her right to vote on club matters. This status can be removed once they resolve the issue that placed them into this status.
10) Any member with probation status will not be able to earn points until the problem has been resolved.
11) When a member leaves the club his/her sticker must be removed with the presence of a club officer.
12) New members will have 1 months time after they are voted in to purchase there membership items. These items include the Club Sticker, Shirt, 1st months dues and a contract of the bylaws.


Article 7 - Meetings
1) Meetings shall take place every other Weekend of the every month.
2) The first meet will be the clubs formal meet to handle club matters, the second meet will be for club events such as cruises and cookouts for example.
3) If meetings are held at a member's house, it will be only open for current club members only.
4) At the beginning of each meet club Officers will present there matters 1st and all votes will be passed at this time.
5) Meeting and event attendance is mandatory unless excused by club officials as a whole.
6) If a current member needs to call an emergency meeting he/she must contact the President and Vice President.
7) Members are required to attend 1 mandatory show per show season. This show will be a local show and voted on By the members of the club before show season.
8) Members must attend Minimum 2 shows during the show season, one of which must be the club Voted mandatory show.
9) Members who have 3 unexcused absences will be placed on Probation, 5 or more unexcused absences will result in member status being downgraded to prospect.


Article 8 - General rules
1) At no time should any member damage a club member's property.
2) All members must sign a written copy of the by-laws.
3) All members must observe and respect the by-laws; they are the law of Endless Obsessions.
4) If any member has any problems with the current by-laws they are encouraged to approach an Officer and present their case. If they have a valid point the constitution may be amended by majority vote of the Officers.
5) Our club does not support any illegal activities that would reflect badly on the rest of the group or endanger any members, for this reason we will not allow any illegal substances to be used at club functions.
